Zumba - A Great Way To Burn Calories

Zumba is a group fitness class that utilizes Latin dance steps and world music to create an aerobic dance class members' experience. Developed in the 1990s Latin dance trainer Beto Perez, Zumba is now available worldwide and the number of teachers and schools that offer classes continues to grow. Zumba enthusiasts enjoy a variety of fitness benefits, and its continued growth in popularity gives credit to the effectiveness of the method. Zumba Fitness is fun and a great way to burn those calories and helps you lose weight. As the performance of dance and increased heart rate, however, due to the fun atmosphere Zumba Fitness Party does not sit on a task of burning calories.

According to a university of Sports Medicine, physical activities are an overall benefit to the human body and specific fitness activities can promote better health. There are different types of physical activities, and Zumba classes address some ways to consider the effective exercise of fitness. As a form of cardiovascular workout, Zumba is helpful to heart health. As an aerobic dance class, Zumba calories burned and fat.

Zumba is considered a weight-bearing activity such as walking or running, helping to maintain and improve bone density. Zumba also includes heating and cooling exercises that help with flexibility, an important ingredient in preventing injuries. Finally, the Zumba dances provide intensity intervals during class time, which is an effective way to challenge your muscles, increase endurance and increase strength.

Zumba is a fitness class based on the dance, sometimes described as a cardio-dance class. Zumba is a form of exercise that is appropriate for almost anyone interested in moving to music, regardless of their level of fitness or dance experience, so it is effective in attract and keep participants from around the world.

Zumba Calories Burned

For a person of 155 pounds, a one-hour Zumba class can burn between 400 and 600 calories, depending on age, fitness level and exercise intensity. To compare the effectiveness of Zumba to burn calories, keep in mind that the methods of exercise such as aerobics or yoga hath burn approximately 300 calories per hour, but in general weight lifting burns 224 calories per hour. A class of low-impact aerobics is a fair comparison with the typical Zumba class, which will burn an average 410 calories per hour. Heavier people will use more energy per hour, and students with experience can add ankle weights or wrist when doing Zumba to increase energy expenditure.
